Halloween paint-and-sip class with black-light paint, a full bar and an optional DIY soy candle add-on.
Pinot's Palette is hosting Fright Night, a Halloween paint-and-sip class, on Friday, October 30, from 7:30 to 9:30 PM at their Short North studio, 691 North High Street, Suite 101, in the Short North Arts District. The studio is owned and operated by a local small-business owner who runs the sessions and empowers local entrepreneurs.
The painting is designed as a dual-purpose piece: it can be painted under a black light for a creepy glow, or as a regular piece that still carries a frightful appeal. The experience is pitched as being just as much fun for first-time painters as for experienced artists, with upbeat music playing throughout the session. If you're looking to take home a bit more than just the canvas, there's a DIY soy candle add-on available for $25.
On the drink side, the studio serves a full bar of beer, wine, wine-based cocktails, and mocktails. You're welcome to bring your own food, but outside beverages aren't permitted. A few practical things to keep in mind: guests under 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for any class starting after 5 PM, and a valid ID is required to purchase or consume alcohol.
