Paint and sip night where 21+ guests paint a spooky scene while enjoying drinks and a DIY soy candle at Pinot's Palette in the Short North.
Pinot's Palette is hosting a spooky-themed paint and sip workshop, Lovely View of the Graveyard, on Sunday, October 25, from 6 PM to 8 PM. The studio is in the Short North Arts District at 691 North High Street, Suite 101, in Columbus.
If you've never done this before, the format is straightforward: you paint a specific image while you drink and hang out. The studio describes it as a fun night out that combines drinks, upbeat music, and catching up with friends. They also make a point that it works for first-time painters just as well as for experienced artists, so you don't need to be comfortable with a brush to get something you'll actually want to keep. The Lovely View of the Graveyard theme fits the late-October date, and the session runs two hours.
There's a full bar on hand with beer, wine, wine-based cocktails, and mocktails, and you're welcome to bring your own food. If you want a bit more to take home, there's a DIY candle add-on that lets you pour your own all-natural soy candle; it cures while you paint, so you leave with both your painting and a custom hand-poured candle. Just keep in mind you have to be 21+ with a valid ID to drink alcohol.
