A Halloween-themed paint and sip class where participants create an atmospheric scene while enjoying drinks; optional DIY candle add-on available.
Pinot's Palette is hosting Dead of Night, a Halloween-themed paint and sip class, on Friday, October 16, from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM. It's a nighttime session at their Short North studio, 691 North High Street Suite 101, and you don't need any painting experience to join in.
The painting itself is a moody, atmospheric scene. A talented artist leads the room step-by-step, so you're not just staring at a blank canvas and guessing. The imagery is all Halloween: creatures and ravens emerge from the dark with pumpkins in sight, and above the cliff, a skull hangs in the sky with tombstones for teeth and the moon for an eye. It's a lot of detail to work through in two hours, but that's the point of the guided format—you just follow along and let the artist handle the heavy lifting.
While you paint, you can sip your favorite drink, and the night is aimed at party-goers and social butterflies looking for a night out with drinks and good vibes. It's as much about the company as the canvas, so it works well as a group thing. If you're worried about the mess, they provide aprons for everyone. There's also an optional DIY candle add-on available if you want to walk away with something more than just the painting.
