Unstructured, self-guided in-studio creative painting time with drinks at Pinot's Palette Short North, suitable for first-time painters and experienced artists.
Pinot's Palette is hosting a DIY Pop in and Paint session on Friday, December 18, from 2 PM to 5 PM at their Short North studio, 691 North High Street, Suite 101, in the heart of the Short North Arts District. It's an unstructured, self-guided afternoon of painting, so you can work on your own or bring along friends and family.
The studio puts out a range of projects with written step-by-step instructions, but you're welcome to paint whatever catches your fancy instead. That makes it as suitable for first-time painters as for experienced artists, with upbeat music and a light atmosphere. If you want to leave with something more than a painting, there's a DIY soy candle add-on: you pour your own custom-scented, all-natural candle, which cures while you paint so you walk out with both pieces.
The Short North studio is owned and operated by local small-business owners and rounds out the painting with a full bar, Starving Artist cheese plates and snacks, and complimentary water. Outside beverages are strictly prohibited, and you'll need to be 21+ with ID to buy alcohol. Beyond these open sessions, the studio also hosts Little Brushes classes for ages 5-12, Family Day outings, and private parties.
