Stand-up show by Australian comedian Sam Campbell, winner of the Edinburgh Comedy Festival main prize, in his 'Kid Giblet' tour.
Sam Campbell brings his stand-up show Kid Giblet to the Cambridge Corn Exchange on Tuesday 1 December, with the performance starting at 7:30pm. It's a solo hour of comedy, so it's just Campbell on stage for the full run.
If you haven't come across him yet, Campbell is an Australian comedian and actor known for an absurdist style that doesn't always follow the usual rules of a stand-up set. He's picked up a fair few awards along the way, including the Barry award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and the main prize at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival, and he's a regular on the UK panel show circuit. You'll recognise him from Taskmaster, Would I Lie To You, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.
That TV work gives you a sense of the persona, but the stage is where the absurdist side really takes over. Kid Giblet is the show he's touring, and it's a full hour of his own material. If you've seen him on those panels, this is the full-length version of that same energy, with the whole night built around his particular way of looking at things.
