Stand-up show by Romesh Ranganathan, billed as scientifically proven to improve your self-esteem, at the Cambridge Corn Exchange.
Romesh Ranganathan brings his latest tour show, Will Change Your Life, to the Cambridge Corn Exchange on Saturday 7 November, with the set starting at 20:00. He bills the show as scientifically proven to improve your self-esteem, though knowing his style, that's likely the first joke of the night.
If you've only come to him through the TV, there's a fair bit of ground to cover. He first burst onto the comedy circuit in 2010, gigging regularly at top venues across the country and reaching the Latitude New Act Final, the So You Think You're Funny? Final, and coming runner-up in The Amused Moose Laugh Off, all in that same year. In 2015 he starred in Asian Provocateur on BBC Three, where he travelled to Sri Lanka to learn about his parents' country, followed by a second series, Mum's American Dream, in 2016.
Since then, he's become a bit of a household name. You'll recognise him from The Misadventures of Romesh Ranganathan, Parents' Evening, Rob & Romesh Vs, A League Of Their Own, The Weakest Link, and Can't Knock The Hustle. He also hosts a BBC Radio 2 Saturday morning show and a handful of podcasts: Wolf & Owl, For The Love of Hip Hop, and The Romesh Ranganathan Show. Critics have called him "extraordinarily hilarious" and noted his "bitingly fresh gags", which gives you a decent idea of the tone to expect on stage.
