Free Halloween trail run through Wandlebury Country Park led by Betony the witch, who asks families to find ingredients and creatures for her autumn potion.
Wandlebury Country Park is running its Halloween Adventure from Saturday 17 October to Sunday 1 November, a free trail for families to work through across the park's autumn landscape. It's a self-guided hunt, so you can take it at your own pace whenever you fancy a walk during that window.
The trail is led by Betony the witch, who's in the middle of brewing an autumn potion and needs a hand getting it finished. She asks you to seek out the ingredients and the creatures lurking in the park to complete her spell, so the whole thing is built around following her lead across the grounds. You pick up your trail sheet from the foyer beneath the clocktower, work your way through the park, and then return it to be entered into a prize draw.
It's run by Cambridge Past, Present & Future, the local charity that owns and looks after the park, so it's one of their autumn family events. The park itself is out in the Cambridge countryside, at Wandlebury Country Park, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire CB22 3AE.
