A 90-minute workshop where participants create a miniature besom from cinnamon and oats as a protective charm for Samhain, with refreshments served.
Alchymis is running a workshop to make a mini witch's broom, and they've got three dates to choose from this October: Friday 9th from 18:00 to 19:00, Saturday 24th from 15:00 to 16:00, and Friday 30th from 18:00 to 19:00. It's held at Alchymis, 3 Bank Chambers, Preston Circus, BN1 4JQ.
The whole thing is set during the spooky season and works from the idea that the besom — a witch's broom — is used in autumn to ritually cleanse or sweep away negativity. The session lasts 90 minutes and leans into the notion of celebrating our inner witches. You'll make your own miniature besom from cinnamon and oats, wheat or flax, and the result is something you can hang above a doorway as a protective charm or use to sweep altars and shelves. Each one is sealed with a bay leaf wish for Samhain and a charm of your choosing, and refreshments are served.

It's a hands-on session, so you'll leave with your own little broom to take home. The cost is £20.00, and since there are three different dates across the month, you can pick the one that fits your schedule best.
