The Jesus and Mary Chain and The Psychedelic Furs headline a joint tour at the Brighton Dome.
The Jesus and Mary Chain and The Psychedelic Furs are playing the Brighton Dome on Thursday 28 January 2027, as part of a joint UK tour. It's a double bill that brings two bands from the same era onto one stage, and the Brighton date is one of eight stops across the country. The two played a string of co-headline shows together across the US in 2024, so they've already worked this out as a pair.
The Jesus and Mary Chain were started by Scottish brothers Jim and William Reid in 1983. They built their name on a noisy, feedback-heavy sound that still held onto a strong melody, and their 1985 debut Psychocandy gave us 'Just Like Honey' and helped set the stage for shoegaze. They reunited in 2007 and put out their eighth album, Glasgow Eyes, in 2024.
The Psychedelic Furs formed in 1977 and carved out their own space in punk and art rock, with Richard Butler's raspy vocals as the signature. Their 1981 album Talk Talk Talk brought them wider recognition, and the single 'Pretty in Pink' ended up in John Hughes' 1986 film. They returned from a nineties hiatus with Made Of Rain in 2020.

Both bands are coming off new records, so there's recent material to go alongside the older stuff. The show is in the Concert Hall at the Brighton Dome, with doors opening at 19:00 and the music starting at 19:45. Tickets are £51.50, and Brighton Dome & Brighton Festival members save £2 on the full price.
