Festive wreath-making class led by Gintare and Maija of Rooted & Co, using fresh eucalyptus and seasonal berries, with mulled wine and mince pies.
Rooted & Co are running a series of Christmas wreath-making workshops at their shop in the Brighton Open Market, starting Sunday 29 November. It's their first ever Christmas wreath class, led by Gintare and Maija, the two behind the plant shop. Over a relaxed couple of hours, you build your own winter wreath from scratch with a fragrant mix of fresh eucalyptus, seasonal berries and flowers, then finish it off with your choice of festive decorations. They pitch it as an alternative to the standard supermarket look, and no floristry experience is needed, so you don't need to have ever touched a stem to join in.
The making is paired with hot mulled wine, warm mince pies and festive music, and spaces are strictly capped to keep the sessions intimate. Under-18s have to attend with a parent or legal guardian. It's a slow, hands-on afternoon or evening rather than a rushed one, and you'll leave with a bespoke wreath you've put together yourself.
There are five dates to choose from across late November and December, so you can pick whatever fits your schedule. The Sunday sessions run at 15:00 on 29 November, 6 December and 13 December, and the Thursday evening ones are at 18:00 on 3 December and 10 December. Each session lasts roughly two hours.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Brighton and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
