Quiz and screening of the Emmy-nominated comedy-horror series 'Widow's Bay', hosted by Whatever Pays the Rent, as part of the Square Eyes TV Festival.
MAC Birmingham is hosting a quiz and screening of Widow's Bay on Sunday 8 November, starting at 6:30pm. It's part of the Square Eyes TV Festival, which runs from Friday 6 to Sunday 15 November across the Midlands Arts Centre and Mockingbird Cinema.
The night is built around Widow's Bay, the multi-Emmy nominated US comedy-horror series created by Katie Dippold, which premiered in April. Matthew Rhys stars as the mayor of a New England town who resolves to turn it into the next great tourist hotspot, despite local warnings that the place is cursed. The evening is hosted by pop-culture connoisseur Whatever Pays the Rent and takes in a quiz and a sunset cocktail in the Kiln restaurant before the screening in the cinema.

It's one of the festival's more social nights, so you'll be in the Kiln for the first half before moving into the cinema for the screening. MAC's cinema programme is supported by the BFI Film Audience Network and Film Hub Midlands. The whole thing runs for about two hours, and tickets are £10.45.
