Family Halloween screening of Steven Spielberg's E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial on the big screen inside the Thinktank Planetarium dome.
Thinktank is screening Steven Spielberg's E.T. The Extra Terrestrial on Saturday 31 October, as part of their Spooky Cinema Halloween programme. It's a family-friendly showing of the 1982 classic, in which a young boy named Elliot finds and hides a gentle alien left behind on Earth. The film is rated U, so it's one that works for all ages.
The setting is what makes this a bit different from your usual cinema trip. The film plays on the big screen inside the Planetarium dome on Level 3, so you're watching it while looking up into the curve of the dome. Thinktank describes it as "cinema under the stars," and since the seating is unallocated, you can just find a spot and settle in. It's a nice way to see a film that's all about the night sky, especially on Halloween.
