Interactive family show about the comic misadventures of librarians Mr Page and Miss Book, performed in BSL and spoken English.
The Librarians comes to MAC Birmingham on Monday 26 October, with two performances on the one day: 11:00am and 2:00pm. It's a theatre show built around Mr Page and Miss Book, two librarians whose comic misadventures unfold through their library of unusual books. The story is performed in both BSL and spoken English, so it's accessible to deaf and hearing audiences together.
It's pitched as a magical story for family audiences, and it's an interactive one. The audience can join in throughout, and by the end, everyone becomes a new author for the library, with the chance to perform their ideas on stage. Each performance runs for around an hour, so it's a relatively short commitment — easy to fit in around a school day or a Monday afternoon.
