Free children's Light Party at St Peter's Church in Harborne with crafts, party games and families in bright clothes.
St Peter's Light Party is on at St Peter's Church, Harborne on Sunday 1 November, from 3 pm to 5 pm. It's run by the church's Junior Church and is aimed at children aged eight and under, so it's one for the families with the smaller ones in tow.
The whole afternoon is built around the idea of Jesus as the light of the world, and they've asked families to turn up in bright clothes, which should set the mood before you even walk through the door. It's a celebration rather than a service, and the dress code is part of the fun.
As for what's on, the afternoon opens with a variety of crafts, so there's something to get stuck into from the start. Once the crafting has had its run, the party games take over, and that's where the bulk of the afternoon sits. Between the two, it's a couple of hours of activities for the kids to work through.
