Free careers fair with face-to-face meetings with employers across many sectors, for school leavers, graduates, apprentices and professionals.
The Birmingham Careers Fair is back at Millennium Point on Friday 30 October, from 10am to 2pm. It's part of The UK Careers Fair, which returns to the city every year as part of their West Midlands collection, and it's open to candidates at every stage of their working life: school leavers, graduates, apprentices, people returning to employment and experienced professionals. If you're considering a career change, it's a good place to start.
The whole point is to skip the online application process and speak face-to-face with representatives from a wide range of local employers. They'll be there from sectors like finance, education, IT, healthcare, manufacturing, hospitality, retail, biochemistry, electronics, social work, commercial real estate and pharmaceuticals. You can ask them about company culture, benefits and hiring requirements and get a feel for the place before you ever send over a CV. The organisers say 100,000 motivated candidates attend their events each year across more than 50 UK locations, with a 100% hire rate on the day through that face-to-face contact.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Birmingham and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

Millennium Point itself is a multi-use meeting and conference venue, a public building and a charitable trust in the developing Eastside of Birmingham city centre, so it's easy to get to. Entry is free for candidates, and it runs from 10am to 2pm on Friday 30 October.
