Screening of the documentary about Ozzy Osbourne's farewell show at Villa Park, with screenings on 28 October and 1 November.
Ozzy & Black Sabbath: Back To The Beginning is coming to MAC Birmingham on Wednesday 28 October, with a second screening on Sunday 1 November. It's a documentary about one of the city's biggest musical exports, and it centres on a specific, heavy moment in rock history: Ozzy Osbourne's final farewell performance for his fans at Villa Park, right here in his Birmingham hometown.
That show was filmed just 17 days before he died, so the whole thing carries a weight you can't really ignore. The film doesn't just play back the footage, though. It recreates the day with performances by Ozzy and Black Sabbath, joined by some of the most influential names in rock. Between the music, there are personal reflections from the superstar musicians he inspired, and a behind-the-scenes look at how the day actually came together. It's as much about the man's place in the music he helped start as it is about that one final show.
