Free weekly board games night for players of all levels at The Green Man in Harborne, with hosts to help newcomers.
Mondays' Edgbaston Board Games Club meets at The Green Man in Harborne on Monday 26 October, starting at 18:00. It's a social gathering for board game enthusiasts of all levels, from people who've never played and are just curious about the hobby to seasoned players who know their way around a complex rulebook. The session runs in a friendly and inclusive environment, and there's no entry fee, so you can just turn up and get stuck in.
One of the best things about it is that there's no limit on game time. You're not rushed through a quick round; if you're in the middle of a long campaign or a slow-burn strategy game, you can take your time and play it out. The club's library covers a wide range, from classic favourites to the latest releases, so there's plenty to choose from regardless of what you're into. If you've got a particular favourite at home, you're more than welcome to bring it along and share it with the group.
If you're new to the scene, there are hosts on hand to help you find the best game to play, so you don't have to worry about staring at a shelf of boxes and not knowing where to start. It's a low-pressure way to get into it, and you'll be playing with people who are there for the same reason. Food and drinks are available on the night, so you can keep going as long as you like.
