Hands-on workshop for families to build and code smart machines using LEGO Education Computer Science & AI kits during the October half term.
Thinktank is running a LEGO Coding & AI Workshop throughout the October half term, with sessions starting on Saturday 24 October and continuing through to Sunday 1 November. It's a hands-on one, designed for families to work through together rather than a solo thing, so you'll be building and coding alongside your kids.
The whole session is built around the LEGO Education Computer Science & AI kits. You'll use them to build smart machines from the ground up and then write the code to make them actually do something. It's a proper 'do it yourself' setup: you assemble the hardware, then you get into the software to bring it to life. If you've got kids who spend half their time asking how things work or tinkering with whatever's to hand, this is exactly the kind of thing they'll sink their teeth into.

It's held in The Studio on Level 2 at Thinktank, and because it runs daily across the half term, you've got a fair few slots to choose from. Each day there are four sessions: 10:45am, 12:00pm, 1:45pm, and 3:00pm, so you can pick a morning or afternoon that fits your plans. It's a family affair, and the pricing reflects that: a child and an accompanying adult cost £7, with each additional child £3.50. If you're a member, it's £6 for the child and adult and £3 for any extra children. Just keep in mind that these prices are on top of your admission to the museum, so you'll need to factor that in too.
