Guided walking tour led by Kevin Thomas through the gothic and darker history of Birmingham's Broad Street and Westside.
Five ways to die is a walking tour starting at the Hall of Memory on Broad Street, running on Saturday 24 October from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. It's led by Kevin Thomas, who takes you on a two-hour circular route of around two miles on pavements, so you'll be back where you started by the time it wraps.
The walk focuses on the gothic hidden history of Birmingham's Broad Street and Westside, searching for evidence of the city's darker past. Along the way, Thomas points out the Plague Pits of Birmingham, an inventor's tragic death, and the thousands of bodies transported around the city by night. There's also a secret Jewish cemetery and the story of a printer's body displayed in a shop.
