Workshop led by florist Ashley Edwards with a seasonal foraging walk, a natural-style Christmas wreath and a guided tour of Blakesley Hall.
Blakesley Hall is hosting a festive wreath-making workshop on Saturday 21 November, a three-and-a-half-hour session that takes you from the grounds into the hall. It's led by Ashley Edwards, the Birmingham florist behind Ash Tree Floral Designs, who brings a Fine Arts background to her work with colour, texture and the seasons in abundant, sustainable floral designs. She's an experienced tutor, too: she won an RHS Gold Medal and Best Floral Tablescaping Exhibit at the RHS Malvern Spring Festival for her exhibit At the Threshold: The Garden Comes to the Table.
The morning starts with a short seasonal foraging walk around the grounds, so you'll be gathering some of your own materials before heading inside to make a natural-style Christmas wreath. There are complimentary hot drinks throughout, and a 45-minute guided tour of Blakesley Hall is included in the price. The hall itself is a Tudor timber-framed house in Yardley, and the museum brings its past to life through events like this one.
