Screening of the 2025 film of Noël Coward's 1925 comedy 'Fallen Angels', with a Sunday showing that includes descriptive subtitles.
Fallen Angels is coming to MAC Birmingham this month, with two screenings to choose from: Thursday 22 October at 7:00pm and Sunday 25 October at 2:30pm. It's Noël Coward's champagne-fresh comedy of bad manners, the one that shocked and delighted audiences when it first premiered in 1925.
The story centres on two upper-class wives, both with their husbands away, who spend the play sharing toasts to their pre-marital dalliances with the same man — and who may well be on his way back from France. It's a sharp, witty bit of business that earned five Tony Award nominations. This particular version is a filmed production of a revival by the Roundabout Theatre Company, captured live on stage at Broadway's Todd Haimes Theatre, so you're seeing a full stage performance rather than a cinematic adaptation.

Both screenings run for one hour and 50 minutes, which includes trailers, adverts and any Q&A or panel that might follow. If you're heading to the Sunday afternoon showing, it comes with descriptive subtitles. Tickets start from £14.95, and you can find them at macbirmingham.co.uk. The cinema is part of the MAC in Edgbaston, so it's a straightforward trip if you're already in that part of Birmingham.
