Pop-culture art exhibition by The 21 Pirates with artwork from video games, comic books and movies, part of the 'Deleted Scenes' theme.
Deleted Boy is showing at the Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery from 20 October 2026 to 31 January 2027. It's held in the Pixel Studio, and it forms part of Deleted Scenes, an exhibition that looks at the iconic technologies that have disappeared from our lives but left a mark on how we think, work, create and play. If you've spent any time in the city's galleries lately, that's the broader context this sits within.
The work comes from The 21 Pirates, a pop-culture art exhibition established in 2014 that builds around artwork from video games, comic books and movies, working with artists across the UK and internationally. This particular show has also been presented as a physical exhibition at the Guildhall Walsall following a workshop by The 21 Pirates, so it's not its first outing.
