Immersive escape room in which a team of four explores a pharaoh's tomb, returns a sacred amulet and lifts a curse before time runs out.
Curse of the Pharaoh is one of the immersive escape rooms at Escape Hunt on Cannon Street, and it's running this Sunday 18 October. The premise is a classic: you're dropped into Ancient Egypt after a powerful curse has been unleashed and a terrifying mummy is on the loose. Your team has to head deep into the pharaoh's tomb, return a sacred amulet, and lift the curse before the clock runs out. You've got 60 minutes to get it done, and it's rated five stars.
The room works for groups of two to six players aged eight and over, with under-16s needing an adult with them. It's pitched at friends, family, parties and work events, and the venue runs team-building packages and gifting options for birthdays, thank-yous and employee rewards. If you're after something a bit different, the site also runs outdoor City Hunt games around the city centre.
Escape Hunt opened this Birmingham city centre venue on Cannon Street, just off New Street, in time for the summer holidays, alongside a second venue in Resorts World. CEO Richard Harpham describes it as a hub for four of the company's top-rated rooms. The address is 36-38 Cannon Street, Birmingham B2 5EE.
