A community meet-up for journaling, scrapbooking and creative hobbies, with a Halloween birthday theme hosted by Kia Creates at Boston Tea Party.
Kia Creates is hosting another Creative Club IRL meet-up at Boston Tea Party on Saturday 17 October, from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm. It's a journaling, scrapbooking and creative hobby hangout where people bring their own journals, supplies or craft projects and work side by side as a small community. Each gathering carries a monthly theme, and this twelfth edition doubles as the series' birthday celebration, dressed as a Halloween Birthday Party.
Your host, Kia Creates, is an author, illustrator and sticker-maker who runs a mini pop-up shop at the meet-ups and a Midlands journaling group chat. She also trades at StationeryFest, which she calls her 'SuperBowl' or the 'Coachella of stationery'. The meet-up is built around the simple idea of working alongside other people rather than in isolation, so you bring whatever you're currently working on and spend the afternoon on it in company.
The venue is the flagship Boston Tea Party cafe, a grand old building in the heart of Birmingham's historic centre, a short walk from New Street Station, serving coffee, brunch, lunch, tea and cake. It's a good spot if you want to grab something to eat or drink while you work.
