Festive family breakfast with Santa in the museum tearooms, with a full English for adults, pancakes or a mini breakfast for children and a gift for each child.
Breakfast with Santa returns to The Tearooms at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery this December, with sittings on the 5th, 6th, 12th, 13th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd. Each one lasts two hours, so there's plenty of time to settle in rather than rushing through. It's a family affair, and the whole thing is set in the museum's tearooms on Chamberlain Square.
When you arrive, the room smells of a cooked breakfast and the elves keep the Christmas cheer going. The jingle of sleigh bells marks Santa's arrival, and he stops at every table to say a warm hello, hand-deliver a special gift to each child and pose for a festive photo. The kids get to choose between pancakes or a mini English breakfast, with juice or milk to drink. Adults are served a full English breakfast, with a vegetarian option available, and tea or coffee. Babies in arms under 12 months don't need a ticket if they're accompanying another paying child, unless you want them to have the full Santa experience with a meal and gift of their own.
There's a new addition for 2026: the ticket now includes on-the-day admission to Thinktank, so you can make a proper day of it. The breakfast is part of the museum's wider festive programme, which also includes Santa's walkabouts through the galleries and Santa's Workshop on Level 2.
