Drop-in children's art session where kids make their own clay leaves during the October school holidays.
Art Club is back at the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery for the October half term, running from Monday 26 to Friday 30 October. It's a drop-in session, so you don't have to commit to the whole week — you can just pop in on the day that works best for you. The museum's learning team runs it as part of their family activities during the school holidays, and it's held in The Studio, inside the gallery at Chamberlain Square, B3 3DH.
This time around, the focus is on clay leaves. The children make their own, and they've a choice of how to start: they can bring in some of their own leaves from home, or use ones the team has collected from around the city's Historic Properties. It's a simple enough premise, but it's the kind of thing that keeps them occupied for a good while, and they get to take home something they've actually made.

Because it's a drop-in, it's easy to fit around the rest of your half term plans. There are two sessions each day, one at 11:00 and another at 13:00, so you can pick the morning or the early afternoon. It runs every day from Monday the 26th through to Friday the 30th, which gives you five days to choose from. Pre-booking is advised, so it's worth getting your spot sorted before you head in. The Studio is inside the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, right in the city centre at Chamberlain Square, B3 3DH.
