Irish indie and alternative bill with Cardinals, Croíthe and Madams Last Discovery at The Limelight 1.
Winter In The Sun brings four Irish acts to The Limelight 1 on Saturday 1 May, with Cardinals, theatre, Croíthe and Madams Last Discovery sharing the bill. There's also a special guest to be announced, so the night will end up with five bands on the stage. It's billed as a one-room snapshot of the current Irish indie and alternative circuit, pairing four acts that already pull their own club crowds before the festival season kicks off.
For anyone who follows the local scene, the Limelight remains one of the easiest places in Belfast to catch multi-band Irish bills without jumping to arena scale. The May bank-holiday weekend suits a stacked bill of this sort, and the date sits alongside other 2027 Irish headline traffic: Fontaines D.C. are playing Slane, and Belsonic's outdoor run includes Kingfishr and Sombr. This puts it right in the middle of a busy run of Irish music across the island that spring.

It's a long day of music, with the first act starting at 17:30. The Limelight 1 is at 17 Ormeau Avenue, in the heart of the city, so it's an easy one to get to on a Saturday afternoon. With five bands in total, it's a full evening rather than a quick in-and-out, and the early start means you can catch the whole run without staying until the early hours. If you're into the Irish indie and alt circuit, it's a good way to see several names in one go.
