Dublin punk band Gurriers play the Ulster Hall on their 'Nobody's Coming To Save You' tour.
Gurriers play Ulster Hall on Wednesday 28 October, part of their Nobody's Coming To Save You tour. They're a Dublin band that formed during the pandemic and have since become one of the most talked-about voices in the modern Irish punk scene, known for intense, high-energy live shows and a sound that doesn't pull any punches.
Their 2024 debut album, Come And See, looked at digital anxiety and contemporary life, and the band has been on the move since then: they've appeared on Later... with Jools Holland, played Glastonbury and supported the likes of Turnstile and Kneecap. Bassist Charlie McCarthy joined in early 2024, and his arrival helped shape the sound they've been developing. The new record, Nobody's Coming To Save You, was recorded with Mark Bowen of Idles and John Congleton, and it pushes their sonic approach further while keeping that same abrasive energy. Frontman Dan Hoff draws on literary and philosophical references, with lyrics that balance political protest and personal escapism.
