Live stage show from the rugby podcast The Rugby Pod, hosted by Jim Hamilton and Andy Goode with guests John Smit, Stephen Ferris and Ian Madigan.
The Rugby Pod is coming to Waterfront Hall on Thursday 19 November, for one night only. If you've never come across them, they're the podcast that's grown into something quite substantial: they call themselves the world's biggest rugby podcast, with more than 20 million monthly listeners across audio and video in over 50 countries, and they've picked up Sports Podcast of the Year along the way.
The show is hosted by Jim Hamilton, a former Scottish international, and Andy Goode, a former English international. The format is unscripted, mixing expert analysis, dressing-room stories, irreverent humour and unfiltered opinions, and the live show brings that to the stage with the fans as a huge part of the experience. Hamilton and Goode have sold out live shows in cities like London and Hong Kong, and they describe them as completely different from anything else in rugby.
For the Belfast show, they're bringing along a heavy-hitting guest list: John Smit, Stephen Ferris and Ian Madigan. That's a lot of rugby knowledge on one stage, and given the unscripted nature of the podcast, it's more about the conversation and the stories than a set list of talking points. The Waterfront Hall is one of the city's most iconic entertainment venues, and the show arrives as Belfast celebrates its year as the European Capital of Sport 2026.
