Screening of short films from the international competition The Great Feat, in their original languages with English subtitles, followed by audience voting.
The Great Feat comes to the Ulster Museum on Sunday 25 October, a morning of international short films in the museum's Lecture Theatre. It's an in-competition programme, which means the films are screened in their original languages with English subtitles, and the audience gets to vote for their favourite at the end.
The competition centres on a specific theme: the universal power of childhood imagination, connection and growth. It's a collection of shorts from around the world, so you'll be seeing work from different countries and cultures all playing on the same territory. The whole thing runs for 105 minutes, and that includes the voting time at the end, so you'll be in and out in a little under two hours.
Because it's an in-competition screening, you're not just watching—you're part of the result. Once the films have finished, the room votes for the one that worked best, and that's how the winner is decided. It's recommended for ages 8 and over, so it's one you can bring the kids along to if you're fancying a Sunday morning out with them.
