Family screening of the animated film 'FLEAK', about a boy who meets a tiny creature from another dimension, at the ODEON in Belfast.
FLEAK is coming to ODEON Belfast on Thursday 29 October, as part of the 37th Cinemagic Film Festival. It's a family preview of the film, which means you'll get to see it before its wider release. The screening is part of the festival's Family Premieres strand, and it's recommended for ages 8 and over.
The story follows 11-year-old Thomas, who's always been keen to keep up with his older siblings until a tragic accident leaves him unable to walk and feeling left behind. Everything changes when he meets Fleak, a tiny, mischievous creature from another dimension. From there, the film turns into a heart-warming, wildly imaginative adventure about resilience, family and the courage to face your fears, told from a child's point of view. It's the kind of thing that works just as well for the kids as it does for the adults in the room.
Cinemagic is a Belfast institution, and this screening sits within the festival's Halloween programme, which runs from 26 to 31 October 2026. If you're planning to make a day of it, the session starts at 11:00am and runs for 85 minutes, so you'll be out by 12:25pm. It's an indoor screening at the ODEON in Victoria Square, and you'll need to book in advance.
