Tribute concert led by former Dire Straits member Chris White and six musicians, celebrating 50 years of Dire Straits music.
The Dire Straits Experience play Ulster Hall on Thursday 9 September 2027, a tribute show celebrating 50 years of Dire Straits music. It's led by Chris White, who was an original member of the band, and he's joined by six world-class musicians, including Terence Reis. The whole thing is billed as the closest you'll ever get to the original.
White's connection to the music isn't just as a former member. He joined Dire Straits in 1985 for the record-breaking Brothers In Arms world tour, played on the final album On Every Street and the live record On The Night, and performed at Live Aid and the Nelson Mandela 70th Birthday concert in 1988. He's called guitarist Terence Reis the only artist who can match Mark Knopfler's vocal and guitar mastery, and the show draws on classics like 'Sultans of Swing', 'Money for Nothing' and 'Private Investigations'.
The Experience formed when former members reunited to keep the songs alive live, more than 30 years after the band split. The musicians have played over 150 shows in 25 countries and have worked alongside Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, David Bowie, Mick Jagger, Tina Turner and Mike Oldfield. Standing is strictly age 16 and over.
