Oktoberfest-style festival with German beer, bratwurst, oom-pah singalongs and live acts at Custom House Square.
Oktoberfest Belfast is back at Custom House Square this autumn, running across five weekends from 24-26 September, 1-3, 8-10, 15-17 and 22-24 October. It's a long run, so you've got plenty of dates to choose from if you can't make the first few. The nights are Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, 5pm to 11:30pm.
The whole thing is run by The Merry Monk Taverns, a German bar that works events across the UK, and they're bringing a slice of the Munich festival to Northern Ireland: litre-sized steins of German beer, bratwurst from a charcoal-fired German grill, oom-pah singalongs and Heidi-girl waitress service. The original Munich Oktoberfest dates back to 1810 and now draws around 6 million people a year. The Belfast version first appeared in 2008-2009 at the King's Hall, returned in 2013 and moved to Custom House Square after the King's Hall became a non-event space; it also returns each year to the Christmas market in the grounds of City Hall. The organisers say the 2026 edition brings increased capacity.
Every night starts with an Oom Pa Pa band, followed by live acts. The line-up includes Pete Snodden (DJ), Jukebox Jurors, Big Kahuna, DJ Seedsy, Aye, Fifth Avenue, Figure It Out, Men On The Hill, Green Means Go, Shockwave, Ibe Sessay (DJ), Renegade Kings and Helter-Skelter.
