Halloween pumpkin patch at the City Hall grounds with over 1,000 pumpkins to choose from.
Pumpkin Patch City Hall takes over the City Hall grounds in Belfast on Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October, two days of picking your own pumpkin right in the city centre. It's a proper autumn thing, and because it runs across the weekend, you can head in on Friday after work or keep it for Saturday morning.
The main draw is the patch itself: more than 1,000 pumpkins laid out across the grounds for you to choose from. That's a fair few to pick through, so if you're particular about the shape or size of the one you want for carving, you've got plenty of room to be fussy. It's the kind of thing that works as well for a quick stop as it does for a proper afternoon out with the kids, and since it's right in the heart of town, you don't have to trek out to a farm to get one.
Both days run from 9am to 4pm, so you can get in early and beat the crowds or take your time later in the morning. With the patch open across two days, you've got a bit of flexibility if Friday doesn't suit. It's a straightforward setup: you wander the grounds, pick the pumpkin you want, and take it home. The City Hall grounds are easy to get to, so you won't be spending half your day just getting there and back.
