Family preview screening of the monster adventure film 'Monster Mia' at ODEON Belfast, part of the Cinemagic festival.
Monster Mia is coming to ODEON Belfast on Sunday 18 October, as a family preview screening. It's part of the 37th Cinemagic Film and Television Festival, which this year is held in association with Belfast City Airport. The festival is funded by the Department for Communities through Northern Ireland Screen and by Belfast City Council, and it's built around giving young people creative film opportunities to get stuck into.
The film itself follows Mia, a free spirit who's always felt a bit out of place in her perfect hometown. Things change when she's sent to the mysterious Rotwood Academy, where she discovers her classmates are actually monsters — and that she finally fits in. From there, she has to unite humans and monsters to stop the wicked headmaster's disastrous plans. AX1 Films bills it as a high-flying family adventure that inspires kids to sprout their own wings.
It's a morning screening, so it works well if you've got the little ones in tow. The session starts at 11:00am and runs for 85 minutes, which is a handy length for a family outing without taking up the whole day. You'll find it at ODEON Belfast, No. 1 Victoria Square, BT1 4OG.
