Play-based learning session for children aged 2 to 4 with arts and crafts, storybook times and garden exploration, accompanied by a caregiver.
Young Sprouts is back at the Atlanta Botanical Garden this fall, a series of morning sessions for kids aged 2 to 4. It's part of the garden's Atlanta For Kids family programming, and the whole thing is built around play-based learning. Each session runs an hour and a half, and it's designed for a child to come with a caregiver, who has to stay for the duration.
The sessions are hands-on, mixing arts and crafts, storybook times, and garden exploration. The activities change with the seasons, so what the kids do is inspired by the time of year. It's a good way to get little ones outside and curious about the natural world without it feeling like a formal class.
There are four dates in total: Friday, November 13; Friday, November 20; Friday, December 4; and Friday, December 11. They skip November 27, so keep that in mind if you're planning your weeks. Each one runs from 9:30 to 11:00 AM. You can sign up for one or a few, depending on what fits your schedule.

Places are limited to ten children per session, and registration closes on November 2, so you'll want to get your spot sorted well before the first one kicks off. It's $100 per child, or $80 for members. The garden is at 1345 Piedmont Ave NE in Atlanta.
