A toddler storytime session where children discover the wonders of winter with Thing 1 and Thing 2.
Atlanta History Center is hosting a toddler storytime called Winter Wonders on Wednesday, Jan 6. It's a morning session, running from 10 AM to 11:40 AM, and it's built for the youngest crowd in the house.
The theme is right there in the title: winter. The kids spend the session discovering the wonders of the season, and they've got some familiar company to help them along. Thing 1 and Thing 2 from Dr. Seuss's world are the ones leading the way, so you can expect the kind of playful, slightly chaotic energy those two always bring. It's a storytime, so there's reading at the center of it, but with those characters involved, it's more of an activity than just sitting and listening.
If you've got a toddler, this is one of those easy mid-week outings. It's a good stretch of time—nearly two hours—so it's more than just a quick read-aloud. You'll be at the History Center, which is a big, walkable spot, and the whole thing is geared toward the little ones, so it's a low-stress way to get them out of the house on a Wednesday morning.

As for the cost, it's included with admission, so if you're already planning to spend the morning at the museum, this is a natural addition. It runs from 10 AM to 11:40 AM on Wednesday, Jan 6, at the Atlanta History Center.
