Interactive shadow puppet adventure in which the audience's choices shape the story, presented by Mr. Damon's Shadow Puppets.
Mr. Damon's Shadow Puppets bring Shadow Quest to the Center for Puppetry Arts from January 6 to 17, 2027. It's an interactive shadow puppet adventure where the audience helps shape the story as it unfolds, so the show changes depending on who's in the room.
The plot follows a group of curious hot-air balloon travelers guided by a magical talking cloud. The route they take is decided by the crowd: the Bermuda Triangle, a trip back in time where dinosaurs thunder into the scene, and wherever else the audience chooses. Because the room picks the destination, no two journeys unfold the same way, and every choice redirects the path into new surprises, encounters, and unexpected turns. The whole thing is built from shadow and light, and the performance runs 60 minutes. It's recommended for ages 4 and up, and museum admission is included with your ticket.

If you're not already familiar, the Center for Puppetry Arts is the largest nonprofit in the U.S. dedicated solely to puppetry. It's home to the Jim Henson Collection and more than 4,000 puppets, and it celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2028. Shadow Quest runs from January 6 through January 17, so you've got a couple of weeks to find a time that works. Tickets start at $25 for non-members and $20 for members, with member admission limits applying.
