A holiday classic returns to the stage as a faithful puppet adaptation of the 1964 Rankin/Bass stop-motion special, following Rudolph and Hermey the Elf on a heartwarming adventure.
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer returns to the Center for Puppetry Arts this holiday season, with shows running November 11–21 and December 1–27, 2026. It's a puppet adaptation of the 1964 Rankin/Bass stop-motion special, adapted for the stage by Jon Ludwig and presented by WB Skydance. The production follows Rudolph and Hermey the Elf, two misfits on the run, as they set off on a heartwarming adventure of acceptance and self-discovery, with Bumble the Abominable Snow Monster on their trail. The show is billed as one that speaks to the misfit in all of us.
Because it's a puppet show, it's a good fit for families. It's recommended for ages 4 and up, and the performance runs about 60 minutes. Your ticket also includes museum admission, so you can make a full afternoon of it and wander through the exhibits before or after the show. The Center for Puppetry Arts is at 1404 Spring St. NW at 18th St. in Atlanta, GA 30309-2820.

There are plenty of dates to choose from across two blocks of performances: November 11–21 and December 1–27, with the exception of December 24–26. Every show starts at 10:00 AM and runs until 12:45 PM, so it's a morning outing rather than an evening one. Pricing starts at $22.00.
