Family exhibitions on view at the Children's Museum of Atlanta, including 'Doc McStuffins: The Exhibit' and 'Rock Identification at the Science Bar'.
Children's Museum of Atlanta has a new rotation of exhibitions on view through March 2027, so if you've got little ones, there's plenty to keep them busy over the next few months. The museum is at 275 Centennial Olympic Park Dr NW, right in the heart of downtown.
The headliner for the season is Doc McStuffins: The Exhibit, which opened on September 26 and runs through January 10, 2027. If you're planning a visit, that's the one to time your trip around. For the rest of the fall, there's Rock Identification at the Science Bar, which runs through October 31. Looking ahead to the holidays, Instant Snow - The Science of Polymers takes over from December 3 to December 30. And Let Your Creativity Flow is also part of the current lineup.
Beyond the exhibitions, the museum is built around hands-on, play-based learning. It's the kind of place where kids can climb to the center of the Earth, work on a farm, and create their own masterpieces. There's a strong focus on the youngest visitors, with weekday Toddler Time sessions in the Art Studio and a Members-Only Hour reserved for members. Outside the galleries, they host special-guest performances on the CMA Stage, Scout Workshop weekends, and the Imagination Ball, an adults-only charity ball where every dollar raised goes toward making learning through play accessible to all children. Winter also brings the Snow Days program, including sock skating at Sockefeller Plaza.
