Free admission to three contemporary art exhibitions at Atlanta Contemporary in West Midtown, with registration required.
Atlanta Contemporary in West Midtown has a new set of exhibitions on the go, and they're open for you to walk through whenever you've got a free afternoon. The galleries opened on October 22, and there are three shows running at once, so you can see them all in one trip.
First up is The Bed Series by Gabi Madrid, which runs through December 20. After that, A Litany for Shelter by Natalie Rose Eddings stays up until January 17, 2027. The longest of the three is An Alphabet of Unfolding by Miatta Kawinzi, which you can still catch through March 14, 2027. Since they close at different times, you've got a good window to fit them in over the next few months.
If you haven't spent much time there, it's worth knowing what the place is. Atlanta Contemporary is a center for contemporary art in West Midtown that shows more than 100 artists a year, pulling from local, national, and international scenes. It's one of the few spots in town that commissions new work, with a particular eye for artists who haven't had a major exhibition in the Southeast yet. Beyond the galleries, they run a Studio Artist Program where artists hold Open Studios, and a family-friendly Contemporary Kids program with art workshops for children of all ages.

Admission is always free, every day, which is why they keep it that way—to make sure contemporary art stays accessible. You do need to register, though: you can do it online via Eventbrite or just at the door. If you want to support what they do, you can make a donation or pick something up from their gift shop and online store. And if you're looking for more to do later in the season, they have upcoming programs on November 15, December 13, January 31, and February 28, 2027.
