Highland folk-rockers Torridon play their biggest Aberdeen headline date yet, marking their 20th anniversary with their 'The Killing Tide' tour.
Torridon are back at The Lemon Tree on Saturday 31 October, their biggest Aberdeen headline show yet. They've played the city before, selling out Tunnels, so this is a step up in size. It's part of The Killing Tide, and it's a headline night with the band as the only name on the bill.
They're Highland folk-rockers from Inverness, and their sound pulls from a few different places: folk, rock, and traditional Scottish music. They've spent the last few years building a following across the Scottish scene, playing festivals like Belladrum, The Gathering, Aden, Tunes by The Dunes, and the MacMoray Festivals, and taking the music over to Italy and France. This date is their biggest one in Aberdeen so far, following those sold-out nights at Tunnels.
There's a bit more to this one than just another gig, too. It's part of the band's 20th-anniversary celebration, which opened with the single 'I Wanna Know' β the first taste of the follow-up to their 2019 album Break the Chains. That record was home to 'Highland Girl', which topped the charts and has been streamed over a million times, so there's a good chance you'll hear it alongside the newer material they're working on.
