Stand-up show by Glasgow comedian Tia Rey, part of the Aberdeen Queer Arts Festival 2026, at The Lemon Tree.
Tia Rey brings OOT MA BANGER to The Lemon Tree on Saturday 7 November, as part of the Aberdeen Queer Arts Festival 2026. It's a stand-up comedy show that takes a look at wild medicines through a comedic lens, and it's the same title as her award-winning debut Edinburgh Fringe show.
Rey is a Glasgow-based comedian, performer and storyteller known for sharp humour, chaotic honesty and a deeply personal take on life, identity and becoming yourself. A trans Glaswegian-Arab and neurodivergent performer, she blends stand-up, storytelling and rap to turn lived experience into comedy that's raw, ridiculous and unexpectedly heartfelt. She's appeared on BBC Scotland and BBC Radio Scotland, and critics have called her one of the most exciting voices emerging in Scottish comedy.
The show is staged at The Lemon Tree, an Aberdeen venue whose programme celebrates the new, the experimental and the alternative across music, theatre, dance, performance art, comedy, spoken word and creative learning. It produces and presents emerging local and international talent, runs Artist in Residence programmes and acts as a festival hub for the North-east. OOT MA BANGER is one of the events making up the Aberdeen Queer Arts Festival 2026.
