Dolly Parton tribute show with Kelly O'Brien, the UK's best Dolly Parton impersonator, working through Parton's songbook with a live band.
The Dolly Show comes to Aberdeen Arts Centre on Thursday 11 February 2027, with Kelly O'Brien taking the lead. It's a theatrical concert experience, so it's more of a full show than a simple set of songs, and she's backed by a live band throughout.
O'Brien is an Australian-born West End star, and she's billed as the UK's best Dolly Parton impersonator β and the only one endorsed by the Parton family. That's a fair bit of ground to cover, and she's got the credits to back it up: she's appeared on BBC One, ITV's This Morning, Channel 5, Sky, and ITV London, and has been featured in The Times, Daily Mail, and Metro. She's spent plenty of time in the spotlight before this one.
Accompanied by some of the UK's finest musicians, she works her way through Dolly Parton's songbook, and the set doesn't shy away from the big ones. You'll hear '9 to 5', 'Jolene', 'Islands in the Stream', and 'I Will Always Love You' β the kind of songs that most people know by heart, even if they've never bought a record. With a live band behind her, it's a full sound rather than a backing track, and the whole thing is played straight through as a theatrical concert.
