A Halloween pantomime with magical illusions, pop songs and spooky fun for all the family.
Hocus Panto runs at the Aberdeen Arts Centre on Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October, a Halloween pantomime that fits right into the October half term. It's a family show, so it works as much for the kids as it does for the adults who come along with them.
The show is built around three witches—the kind of characters audiences love to hate—who are back and more magical than ever. It's a parody of the pantomime tradition, played for laughs and designed to be a bit of a treat for All Hallows' Eve. The magic comes from illusions, pop songs, and the sort of spooky business that goes bump in the night, all played out as a bewitching parody that doesn't take itself too seriously.
It's a short run, so you've only two days to catch it. There are performances at 2pm and 6pm on Friday 30 October, and a 2pm matinee on Saturday 31 October, which falls on Halloween itself. If you're taking the kids, the matinees are the easier bet, but the evening show on Friday works if you'd rather go after the school run.
