Aberdeen singer-songwriter JOYFUL plays a headline show with a full band at Cafe Drummonds, with a portion of ticket sales going to SAMH.
JOYFUL is back in Aberdeen on Friday 27 November, playing a headline show at Cafe Drummonds on Belmont Street. He's an Aberdeen singer-songwriter who usually works in two modes: solo with loop pedals, or with a full band. This is the latter, so the set will bring the sound of his recorded songs to the stage rather than the stripped-back loop setup.
It's been a busy stretch since his last Aberdeen headline date. He's supported Cammy Barnes at King Tuts, played festivals including Live in Loch Goil and the Sound of Iona Music Festival, and shared a bill with the Red Hot Chilli Pipers at Kelpies Live. His singles 'Feel It!' and 'WHISKY & BOOZE' β the latter reaching number five on the iTunes Alternative Chart β have picked up play on BBC Radio Scotland, Amazing Radio, Central FM and Original 106FM. He also featured in The Scotsman and was shortlisted for Acoustic Live Artist of the Year at the Scottish Live Music Awards 2026. He's already booked festival slots for 2027, so this is one of the few chances to catch him in the city before the new season kicks in.

He describes his music as pairing energy and joy with the heavier struggles of life, and the full band setup is where that recorded sound really comes through. Support acts are yet to be announced, so the focus for the night is on his set. Tickets start from Β£15 via Skiddle, and Β£5 from every ticket sale goes to SAMH (Scottish Action for Mental Health). The show runs from 8:00pm to 11:00pm at Cafe Drummonds, 1 Belmont Street, AB10 1JR.
