Free outdoor storytelling and song session on birds, with storytellers Lindsey Gibb and Jackie Ross and singer Lynne Campbell, part of the Scottish International Storytelling Festival.
Greyhope Morning: Birdie Storytelling Session comes to the Greyhope Bay Centre on Tuesday 20 October, from 10am to 12pm. It's an immersive outdoor session built around birds, with storytellers Lindsey Gibb and Jackie Ross and singer Lynne Campbell leading the way. The bird theme runs through the stories, the songs and the words, with Scots names for birds along the way and a gentle walk that opens up nature, biodiversity and Scots.
The session is part of the Scottish International Storytelling Festival, and it sits within the Greyhope Morning series, which is designed to connect visitors with the natural, marine and historical environment of the local coast. The venue itself is the Greyhope Bay Centre at Torry Battery, on Aberdeen's North East Scotland coastline. It runs the only off-grid cafe in the city and programmes creative workshops, community events and educational sessions year-round.
