A weekend of folk and trad sessions and a headline concert curated by Aidan O'Rourke, with Beth Orton and Sam Amidon headlining.
Delve returns to The Lemon Tree on Friday 5 and Saturday 6 February 2027, the folk and trad festival now in its fifth year. It's curated by fiddler and composer Aidan O'Rourke, and this edition is called Tide and the Eem.
The title comes from North East dialect: 'eem' describes the low, shimmering sea haze where water and sky blur together, while 'tide' works as a metaphor for the back-and-forth of ideas and traditions. Looking out from Scotland's coast, the programme treats the water as a link to Norway, Ireland, America and beyond, mixing musicians and writers rooted in tradition with songs of the soil and the sea. The weekend runs as a series of sessions at the Lemon Tree, closing with a headline concert that bridges Atlantic and Nordic traditions, built around one-off collaborations created for the occasion.
