Surgeons Girl

Surgeons Girl plays the Sir Jack Lyons Concert Hall in Heslington on Friday 20 November, as part of her 2026 tour. It's a solo set, and she'll be performing live with hardware rather than playing from a record.

She's a Bristol-based artist who first appeared with A Violet Sleep, an immersive, otherworldly synth exploration released on Livity Sound. That was followed by The Empress Moss on Inside Out Records and Sever on Lapsus Records, both rooted in exploratory, synth-rich techno. This year she returns to Livity Sound with the EP A Moment To Machine, and that's the new material she's touring.

Her live work is built around hardware, and she's played some of the biggest rooms in electronic music: Berghain, Tresor, Akademie der Künste, ICA, Southbank Centre, La Trabendo in Paris, Doka in Amsterdam and Machina in Bristol. Beyond the dancefloor, she does audiovisual commissions, including Into the Universe / IKLECTIK alongside Rrose and an ongoing collaboration with filmmaker Daisy Dickinson. As a DJ she's shared line-ups with Upsammy, Konduku, Luke Slater and Pariah, and she hosts a monthly residency on Rinse FM / SWU that spotlights ambient through techno. She's also a member of the newly formed Death in Vegas live trio.

The set is at the Auditorium of the Sir Jack Lyons Concert Hall, Rymer, Heslington, York YO10 5DB, from 7:30pm to 9:30pm.
