Comedy show by Sully O'Sullivan, an insider's guide to his eccentric homeland New Zealand, part of the Halfway to Edinburgh season.
Sully O'Sullivan brings A Complete Idiots Guide to New Zealand to Theatre@41 on Tuesday 21 July, with the show starting at 20:00. It's an hour of comedy from the award-winning comic, set up as an insider's guide to his eccentric homeland.
O'Sullivan spends the set answering the questions you've probably never dared to ask about New Zealand. He gets into why the country almost changed its national flag to a bird with lasers for eyes, whether kiwifruit are just Chinese gooseberries in disguise, and where New Zealand actually is, given how often it gets left off maps. The NZ Herald describes it as "quintessentially Kiwi comedy", and the reviews back it up: VoiceMag.uk says it'll have you laughing out loud, One4Review.co.uk calls it "outrageously funny", and EdfringeReview.com describes him as "a huge comedic talent".
The show is part of Theatre@41's Halfway to Edinburgh season, a two-week run of shows from theatre-makers and comics before they head up to the Edinburgh Fringe. It's one of several bookings the venue has lined up for that window, so if you're in the mood for comedy, there's more than just this one to choose from.
